Tips On Healthy Living - Electric cigarette is often claimed to be safe for consumption than regular cigarettes because he was using steam with a material that can not contain nicotine. Scientists around the world were trying to prove it and started many emerging study of the effects of short-term electric cigarette.

One recent study came from researchers from the University of Hong Kong School of Public Health. Study leader Dr Daniel Ho found that adolescents electric cigarette can cause respiratory problems.

It is known as Dr. Daniel take data from 45 thousand school children, average age 15 years and above during 2012 through 2013 in Hong Kong. 1.1 percent of the population is known to use electric cigarette user and the children are 30 percent more likely to complain of respiratory problems.

Among the reported problems breathing problems cough and sputum are the most common. The risk varies depending on whether the child is also a regular cigarette consumption coincided with electric cigarette. In children who also use regular cigarettes, the risk of short-term respiratory problems increased to 40 percent.

"Electronic Cigarette can be ensured dangerous and more serious health problems are likely to emerge over time," said Dr. Daniel, as quoted by Reuters on Thursday (11/12/2015).

Studies that have been published in the journal JAMA Pediatrics no further investigate the exact cause of why the electric cigarette can cause respiratory problems. However, researchers suspect that the content of propylene glycol and flavoring chemicals in the fumes could interfere with the airway.
